I had to say that over a few times for Garrett to understand what I was saying. Bananas Fossssteeer! Picture this, it’s 10:15 PM and we’re watching One Tree Hill (don’t ask) and I decided I need something sweet, NOW. But I don’t want to blow my whole “good eating” day at 10:15 PM at night so I think back to a recipe that I saw Giada make a couple weeks ago, Bananas Foster.
So I got up out of the recliner, now it’s like 10:30 PM and turn on the stove top to medium heat. I got this awesome Yoshi pan as a wedding gift where virtually nothing sticks to it. OK so I got that heated up and added approximately 1 Tbs Brummel & Brown Yogurt Butter. I then threw in 1-2 spoonfuls of brown sugar. It was 10:30 PM, I wasn’t REALLY measuring.
Once that was melted I added a splash of vanilla. I peeled two bananas and cut them in 1/2 and then lengthwise so I had 8 pieces. I threw those in the pan with a handful of walnuts for some crunch. I just warmed the bananas threw and then took them off the heat. I ate four pieces, so 1 whole banana, and drizzled some Hershey’s chocolate sauce on top. OMG this was fabulous! For a girl who didn’t like bananas just a few weeks ago, I’m starting to enjoy this fruit.
And after Garrett had a bite out of the pan, he finished the other four pieces off. I will definitely make this again – real soon.
looks absolutely positively delicious.
i am vegan (with benefits), so i shall replace the hershey’s milk chocolate with something cacao.
